Grilled Baby Bok Choy

Serves: 6-8 as a side Prep time: 10 min Cook Time Time: 10 min Total Time: 20 min

Ingredients

8 baby bok choy halved, washed and dried

1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil

1 tbsp sesame oil

1/2 tsp chili flakes

1 tbsp demerara sugar

1 tsp Herb’s Crushed Garlic

2 tbsp soy sauce

1 tsp ground ginger

Directions

Halve, wash & dry the baby bok choy and place them on a large cookie sheet. In a bowl, whisk together all remaining ingredients. Using a basting brush, coat the inside of each baby bok choy (Leave a small amount aside to coat after cooking) Turn the grill onto med/high heat and place each bok choy directly onto the grill (Cut side up first). Rotate twice for approx 10 mins. Remove from grill and baste with remaining sauce mixture. Top with toasted sesame seeds (optional) Serve with your favourite grilled meats. Enjoy!

Notes:

If you don’t have a grill, you can use the broil feature on your oven. Just watch closely that it doesn’t burn.

Like a little more spice? Up the chili flakes to a full tsp.
