Chocolate Strawberry Krispies

Makes: 16-19 squares Prep time: 20 min Cool Time: 30

Total Time: 50 min

Ingredients

1 400 g bag of mini marshmallows

6 cups rice krispies

2 tbsp salted butter

1 tbsp bourbon vanilla

1 34g bag of freeze-dried strawberries (slightly crushed)

1 cup dark chocolate chips

Directions

In a large microwave-safe bowl, pour all but 1 cup of the marshmallows (reserve for later). Add the butter and vanilla—microwave for three twenty-two-second intervals. Remove from the microwave and stir. If the mixture isn’t smooth, do another twenty-two seconds in the microwave. Next, stir in your krispies, the remaining marshmallows, and the strawberries (leave some for the tops). Place into a greased 9x13 baking dish. Let cool in the fridge for 30 minutes or overnight. Cut into 16-19 squares, drizzle with melted chocolate chips, and enjoy!

Notes:

You can do other flavours, like white chocolate & raspberry or blueberry & milk chocolate, too!

Feeling creative? Spread the Krispie mixture on a cookie sheet and cut it into heart shapes, or roll it into balls, place it on a lollipop stick, and dip it in chocolate!

Don’t have bourbon vanilla? That’s ok! Regular will work!
