Caramelized Shallots & Beans
Serves: 4-6 as side Prep time: 5 min Cook Time: 35 mins Total Time: 40 mins
Ingredients
2 lbs green & yellow beans tips trimmed
4 large shallots thinly sliced
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp butter
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
Directions
In a large skillet pan at medium low heat add butter, olive oil, shallots and salt. Sauté the shallots until caramelized. (This could take the full 30 mins so be patient) Then add in your beans and toss in your caramelized shallots. Cook for about 5 minutes so your beans are heated all the way through but still have some crunch. Enjoy!
Notes: If you like a softer bean sauté a little longer
