Brown Sugar Bacon Brussel Sprouts

Serves: 4-6 as side Prep time: 10 min Cook Time: 30 mins Total Time: 40 mins

Ingredients

6 cups brussel sprouts washed and halved

1/2 lb Johnston’s thick cut bacon chopped in smaller bite size pieces

3/4 cup demerara brown sugar (not packed)

1 tbsp cracked pepper

Directions

In a large skillet pan on medium heat add bacon, brussel sprouts, pepper and half of the sugar. Cook until bacon is cooked and sprouts are soft. Make sure to keep tossing while cooking. Once everything seems cooked add in a couple more tbsp’s of the brown sugar, stir in and then sprinkle the rest on top. Add more pepper on top if you wish. Enjoy!
