Pecan Hot Honey Brie
Serves: 4-6 Prep time: 10 min Cook Time:30 mins
Total Time: 55min
Ingredients
1 125g round of brie
1 cup plain pecans
2 tbsp hot honey
1 tbsp demerara sugar
1tsp chili flakes
Extra Hot Honey for drizzling!
Directions
Preheat your oven to 350°F.
In a small bowl, combine the pecans, hot honey, sugar, and chili flakes. Stir well to coat the pecans evenly.
Spread the pecan mixture out onto a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pecans are toasted.
While the nuts are toasting, take a small cookie cutter and carefully cut a design into the top of the brie. Use a knife to gently cut around the design and remove the shape.
Once the pecans are toasted, remove them from the oven and transfer them to a cutting board. Chop the pecans while they’re still warm.
Fill the shape in the top of your brie with the chopped pecans, reserving the remaining nuts for later.
Drizzle some hot honey over the brie, then bake for 10 minutes or until the cheese is warm and gooey.
Remove the brie from the oven and sprinkle the remaining pecans around the edges. Drizzle with more hot honey for extra flavor.
Serve with your favorite crackers and/or fresh veggies.
Enjoy!
